a weekend in delaware

Cape Henlopen in Delaware is one of my favourite spots. This year we took 34 scouts and 12 parents to the beach and had a great time.

We stayed in one of the youth camps which had barracks for us to sleep in and a great mess hall with a fully equipped kitchen (including a walk-in fridge!).

The guys in charge of the food did a great job and we ate really really well.

It's always a challenge to take that number of scouts to a public beach and keep track of where they all are. But the buddy system worked really well and they seemed to actually enjoy the buddy check call.
