orienteering in the sun

What a beautiful day to be outside. 16 scouts and scouters headed north to Catoctin Mountain Park in MD for an afternoon of orienteering.

After a quick classroom session it was off to the woods and time to find out just how hard orienteering actually is. And true to form the boys headed off to the first marker and duly missed it by at least 100 yards (it was only 500 yards from the start!!!!!).
