Buck Hollow and Mary's rock hike
What a great day to get out and about. For a hiking day in February to have temps in the 50s and 60s was a real treat (long term not sure how good that is but for us yesterday, it was great!).
14 scouts and a hardy bunch of scouters headed out just west of Sperryville for a little stroll UP a mountain. It's a great time of year to hike with no leaves giving you some beautiful views. The weather was oddly variable as we wound are way up to Mary's Rock, but overall it was as good as you're going to get at this time of year.
The scouts that headed out were Will and Charlie Salt, Manuel and Mario, Ian Forrer and Ian Smyth, Matthew and Jason Harrington, the Nino, James Ross, Noah, Andre, Kai and lead ably by Braden. Congrats to Ian S. and James for completing their first 10 miler with the troop and also to Andre and Noah for completing this hike. For the little fellas this was a hard one! Scouters attending were Mike F., Maria B., Misa C., David H. Wendy S. and Jan P. some and some other large bald guy!
