using The Patrol method at a

"CUB-FRIENDLY" CAMPING TRIP

We had a splendid time last over the weekend of October 18-19, 2014, with 16 Cub Scouts and some of their parents, who joined the Boy Scouts of Troop 1916 for an overnight event we like to call the "Cub-Friendly Outing." The outing took place at Pohick Bay Regional Park, not far from the nation's capital. It was a great opportunity for these young boys to get a sense of what it's like to move up in scouting's ranks and become a Boy Scout. It also reaffirmed the wisdom of using the Patrol Method for every Boy Scout Troop. You can read more about the outing in our Journal here.
