cleaning up our mess!

A few of the senior scouts turned out on Saturday to give the bus a wash and clean up the sandpit.

We had used the sandpit earlier in the week to make fires as part of our Projectoree training and our Leave No Trace efforts were sorely wanting.

A major focus of what we do in scouting is instill in the boys a need to leave everywhere we go, at home, at school, at the church or in the woods better than when we found it. We did not do this on this occasion and so a few scouts lost part of their weekend to remedy the situation.
