Sailing on the Potomac

The troop's second annual sailing trip on the Potomac was a great success.

Where last year we bobbed about in light air in the lagoon near the marina, this year the stiff breezes carried the group well out into the Potomac channel for a biggish water experience.

If you are curious how much fun was had today, just ask any of the following scouts and parents:

Ryan Brownson, Jeff Brownson, Ian Forrer, Alejandro Kuperschmit, Kathy Jurado Munoz, Manuel Munoz, Mario Munoz, Max Miller, Cyrus Redjaee, Charlie Salt, Matt Salt, Will Salt.

Everyone learned to rig and de-rig the Flying Scots. They each had a chance at the helm and time to work the jib and main sheets.

I hope we have even more sailors next year.
